According to reports circulating on social media, in recent days, Uzbeks crossing the border with Kyrgyzstan have been required to provide a "special power of attorney." This situation is reportedly causing outrage among citizens.
The press service of the Sokh district administration issued an official statement regarding this situation.
According to him, as a result of negotiations with the Kyrgyz authorities, it was announced that this document will not be required from residents of the exclaves until May 10.
We would like to remind you that in March this year, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan signed an agreement on the border crossing point, and on April 25, an agreement was reached on the joint use of the Chashma spring.
