The Israeli parliament (Knesset) has decided to allocate an additional $150 million to the propaganda budget in order to improve the country's international image, the Knesset press service reported.

Purpose of funds
These funds are planned to be spent mainly in the following areas:

To mitigate international negative reactions to the war in Gaza.

In Western countries, calling out calls against the Israeli army is seen as anti-Semitism.

Promoting Islamophobia and right-wing sentiments in Europe and the United States.

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar described the funds as an important investment to protect the country's interests.

"Propaganda efforts that affect Israel's position on the international stage have been deprived of adequate resources for decades. These funds will help strengthen our country's reputation in the world," he said.

The decision is aimed at countering international criticism, particularly over the Gaza war. Israel's new media strategy is also aimed at ending economic sanctions in Western countries.
