According to the UN Refugee Agency, one million Syrian refugees have returned to their homeland from abroad since the overthrow of the Bashar Assad regime.
According to the UN, 7.4 million people are currently living as internal refugees in the country, while another 4.9 million Syrians are seeking refuge in neighboring countries. The largest number of refugees live in Turkey (3 million) and Egypt (1.2 million).
The UN has asked the international community to allocate 852.4 million dollars to help the approximately 1 million Rohingya Muslims who fled Myanmar 7 years ago and the government of Bangladesh, which received them.
