The UN International Court of Justice has ordered Israel to ensure the unhindered delivery of humanitarian aid to Gaza and not to violate the rights of Palestinians. The International Court of Justice considers that the situation in Gaza has worsened since the ban on January 26, 2024, which requires new measures.
Muslim leaders and politicians, outraged by the US policy towards Gaza, refused to attend a meeting in Chicago invited by President Joe Biden. At least 29 Arab and Muslim organizations in the country and several community activists signed a collective letter that said they refused to attend the meeting.
The U.S. will provide an additional $53 million in aid to support humanitarian programs that provide critical assistance to Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. The new package brings the total amount of American aid to Gaza during the conflict to $180 million.
Occupying Israel's economy has shrunk by nearly 20 percent since the genocide began in the Gaza Strip. The Bank of Israel predicts that the conflict will cost Israel about $70 billion by the end of 2025.
