Today, May 15, Palestinians are celebrating the 76th anniversary of the Nakba of 1948. This means the destruction of the Palestinian homeland - historical Palestine - and the mass ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian population in 1948.

Israel has killed more than 134,000 Palestinians in the past 76 years since declaring independence in the historic Palestinian lands in 1948, and arrested more than 1 million people since 1967.
