Zelensky has passed a law that strips key anti-corruption agencies, such as the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, of their independence. Under the new rules, control over these agencies is transferred to the Prosecutor General's Office, appointed by the president.
