Uzbekistan has signed a contract with a Kazakh company to supply uranium to France for one year.

A Kazakh company will deliver 500 containers of uranium concentrate to France via St. Petersburg. The Uzbek state enterprise Navoiyuran will pay 9 million euros to the Kazakh company TOO Logistic Centre for this.

The tariff includes the cost of returning empty containers to Marseille, France. The shipment must be made within 15 days from the date of shipment from the port of St. Petersburg. The uranium will be shipped by the end of the first quarter of 2026.

We would like to remind you that on March 11-13, the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev paid a state visit to France. As part of the visit, a joint declaration on the establishment of strategic cooperation between Uzbekistan and France, as well as a number of documents in the financial and economic, investment, educational, cultural and humanitarian, and other areas, were signed.
