Turkey is celebrating the 180th anniversary of the Police Organization. On this occasion, a Mavludi Sharif ceremony was held at the Ayub Sultan Mosque in Istanbul. The Ayub Sultan District Governor's Office announced this.

The ceremony included a recitation of the Quran, dedicated to the souls of martyrs and veterans.

The report said that the event was attended by district governor Arslon Yurt and district police chief Serdar Ors, as well as police officers from different districts of the city.

At the end of the ceremony, refreshments were distributed to the guests.

Images of Turkish police officers filling a mosque and praying have gone viral on social media.
