Turkish Grand National Assembly Speaker Numan Kurtulmus expressed Ankara's deep disappointment with the position of Central Asian states on the Cyprus issue, he said in an interview with TV100.

According to Kurtulmush, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan have not opened embassies in Northern Cyprus, while some other Central Asian countries maintain relations with Cyprus through ambassadors in neighboring countries.

"Truly, Turkey did not expect such a step. We are very disappointed," he said.

According to him, Turkey will never dictate how Central Asian states will interact with third countries. However, the lack of cooperation among Turkic states is a serious concern for Ankara.

For your information, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Turkmenistan previously expressed their commitment to the United Nations position on Cyprus and opposed Turkey's position.
