Foreigners illegally staying in Kyrgyzstan given a reprieve until June 10
A large-scale special operation called "Illegal" will begin in Kyrgyzstan on June 10. The country's State Committee for National Security (SCNS) officially announced this.
The aim of the operation is to identify foreign nationals residing in the country illegally, ensure compliance with migration legislation, and eliminate violations.
According to the NDRC, all foreigners who are not legally present in Kyrgyzstan are required to formalize their legal status or voluntarily leave the country by June 10. During this period, mitigated measures may be applied to those who voluntarily eliminate violations.
According to official figures, there are currently about 5,000 illegal immigrants in Kyrgyzstan. They are mainly foreigners who have not been legally registered in the country for work, trade, or other purposes.
Operation "Nelegal" is being carried out in Kyrgyzstan to improve the migration system, prevent crime, and strengthen the country's security. Various law enforcement agencies, including the police, migration service, and local authorities, are actively involved in the operation.
Official sources note that such measures are aimed not only at maintaining internal order in the country, but also at creating opportunities for foreigners who want to live legally.
