Turkey's National Intelligence Service (MIT) seized a shipment of 1,300 pagers and 710 chargers that were supposed to be sent to Lebanon at Istanbul airport last September, Turkish newspaper Sabah reported.

It is noted that these devices belonged to the same brand and model of explosive devices used during the Israeli special operation to destroy Hezbollah's communications equipment.

According to the publication, MIT received intelligence information about a shipment arriving in Istanbul from Hong Kong on September 16, 2024. According to it, the shipment was scheduled to be sent to Lebanon on September 27, 2024 — that is, a few days after the above-mentioned operation.

When the cargo, called a "food chopper," was inspected, it was found to contain equipment equipped with explosive devices.
