Uzbekistan Helps Rescue Palestinian Women and Children
Those evacuated from Rafah on December 26, 2024 will receive treatment in Uzbekistan

On December 26, Uzbekistan evacuated 100 Palestinian women and children through the Rafah border crossing in the Gaza Strip for treatment and rehabilitation. This humanitarian action has received significant attention from the international community.

Hans Kluge, Director of the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for Europe, expressed his gratitude to the government of Uzbekistan for this assistance. He noted that such actions by Uzbekistan are a shining example of humanity and peacekeeping.

All evacuees have been placed in rehabilitation centers and hospitals in Uzbekistan under the supervision of specialists. All necessary conditions for treatment and recovery have been created for them. Medical care, psychological support, and rehabilitation processes are being implemented.

This aid campaign, initiated by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, once again demonstrates Uzbekistan's readiness to support peace and stability. President Mirziyoyev had previously expressed his readiness to receive wounded Palestinian women and children for treatment.

It should be noted that more than 46,000 people have been killed as a result of Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023.
