The President of the Venezuelan National Assembly, Jorge Rodriguez, said that the country has completed all necessary preparations to receive Venezuelan migrants that the United States plans to deport. However, the United States is not providing the necessary assistance in this process.

Speaking at the presidential palace in Caracas, Rodriguez accused the US State Department of blocking repatriation flights and creating artificial obstacles to the process.

"We are fully prepared, all that remains is to ensure the necessary coordination," he said.

Rodriguez also touched on the issue of Venezuelan migrants held by the United States in a special prison in El Salvador, accused of having links to criminal gangs.

According to him, the Venezuelan government has already reached out to leading American immigration law firms and is working to secure legal protection for those detained.

"We will do everything we can to secure their release," Rodriguez promised. He also sharply criticized the Salvadoran government, saying:

"How can President Nayib Bukele allow young people who have committed no crimes to be brought innocently from the United States or Venezuela and demand money in return?"

Previously, the Donald Trump administration had used emergency powers to speed up the deportation of migrants suspected of being linked to the Venezuelan criminal group "Tren de Aragua", which Washington has designated a "foreign terrorist organization".

Although a federal court has ordered a temporary halt to deportations, the US government has sent hundreds of illegal immigrants to El Salvador.
