The United States is increasing its military presence in the Middle East. The second American aircraft carrier, the USS Carl Vinson, has arrived in the region, the US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced.

According to TRT, the USS Carl Vinson may now operate in conjunction with the USS Harry S. Truman, which is reportedly carrying out almost daily strikes on Houthi positions in the Red Sea.

Interestingly, the USS Carl Vinson entered the region's waters just two days before talks between the US and Iran.

The talks are being held in neighboring Oman. Analysts are seeing the incident as a sign of rising tensions in the region and the growing risk of a new conflict, the report said.
