Trump to impose 100% tariff on foreign films
US President Trump announced on his X-page that he would impose a 100% tariff on foreign-produced films to save a "dying" Hollywood .
He wrote on social media that this was an act orchestrated by other countries and a threat to US national security. Trump also hinted that ideological propaganda was being carried out through this medium.
The US president also noted that the American film industry is on the verge of "extinction" due to incentives offered by other countries to attract filmmakers.
