The war in Ukraine has intensified, with the Russian army attacking the country's territory with nearly 50 missiles, 660 drones, and more than 760 aerial bombs in the past week alone.

The attacks on Saturday, February 1, caused widespread damage in the cities of Sumy, Kharkiv, and Poltava. Fifteen people were killed in the attacks, including four children, including 9-year-old Sofia.

BILD editor Karen von Guttenberg addressed Russian President Vladimir Putin:
"What was this child's fault?" he said.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has demanded that the West provide more air defense systems and long-range missiles.

"The world must force Russia to stop its brutal and unjustified aggression," Zelensky said.

The Ukrainian leader also reiterated the need to increase international sanctions pressure on Russia.
