Qatar begins gas supplies to Syria
The state of Qatar has begun supplying natural gas to Syria through Jordanian territory.
This step, coordinated with Washington, aims to help improve Syria's energy supply.
The Qatari government said the gas supply is being carried out as part of a humanitarian initiative and is intended for a specific period of time.
The gas supplied at the initial stage will allow the generation of 400 megawatts of electricity, with plans to further increase capacity in the future.
As you know, Qatar is one of the world's largest exporters of liquefied natural gas.
The country also aims to increase its liquefied gas export capacity from 77 million tons per year to 126 million tons by 2027 by expanding the North Field gas fields.
