Darfur airstrike: more than 100 dead




The attack took place 180 km from Al-Fasher. The bomb that was thrown into the market exploded while local people were buying products.
The organization of jurists assessed the incident as a gross violation of human rights.
This is not the first fatal incident in the center of the region: on November 26, a military helicopter crashed, killing 6 civilians, including children.
The ongoing civil war in Sudan is between two main forces, the army and the Rapid Action Force (RSF). Both sides are accused of carrying out attacks against civilians. More than 10,000 people died. 11 million people became refugees.
The situation in refugee camps, particularly ZamZam camp in Darfur, remains dire. There, the population is suffering from hunger due to lack of food, water and other basic needs.
The Sudanese conflict has become the largest humanitarian crisis at the global level. International organizations are calling for urgent measures to stop attacks on civilians and help refugees. Events in Darfur point to further escalation of the conflict.
