The Israeli side has rejected a five-year ceasefire proposal put forward by Hamas representatives as part of talks in Qatar , The Times of Israel reported.

According to the plan proposed by Hamas, the Israeli army* would be completely withdrawn from the Gaza Strip during the ceasefire period, and a special committee would be established to establish a local government system in the region. In exchange, Hamas agreed to release all hostages at once .

However, the Israeli side has firmly stated that it will not accept this proposal.

"Such a truce with Hamas would allow them to arm themselves, rebuild, and continue their war against Israel. It is absolutely impossible for us to agree to an agreement under such circumstances," the Zionist statement said.

Israeli* officials are also setting the complete disarmament of the Hamas movement as a key condition.
