In violation of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas that went into effect on January 19, Tel Aviv has killed at least 137 Palestinians in the Palestinian Gaza Strip, local officials said.

They accused Israel of deliberately escalating attacks on Palestinians since March 2, the same day Israel closed its border crossings into the Gaza Strip again.

Since the agreement came into force, "Israel has used the blockade and starvation as tools of a slow-burning tactic against the population of the Gaza Strip," the Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor said in a statement.

The statement also said, "Israeli snipers, drone strikes and quadcopter attacks have targeted Palestinian civilians, particularly those attempting to inspect their homes near the buffer zone established by Israel on the northern and eastern borders of Gaza."

For information, since October 2023, Israel has killed more than 62,000 Palestinians in Gaza, mostly women and children.
