India fires missiles into Pakistan
India has launched air strikes on nine targets in Pakistan and its occupied Kashmir, TRT reported.
According to a statement from Delhi, the strikes were targeted precisely and were not directed at military facilities, but at other designated points.
The Pakistani government also officially confirmed the attack. According to officials in Islamabad, India launched missile strikes on three separate areas.
According to eyewitnesses, the power supply in the Pakistani city of Muzaffarabad was completely cut off after the strikes.
US President Donald Trump expressed his opinion on India's missile strikes.
"This is a disgraceful situation. We just found out about it," Trump told reporters. "I just want this to end as soon as possible."
He said that such a situation had been predicted before, as India and Pakistan have been fighting each other "for many years, even centuries."
Trump also noted that historical tensions between the two countries could lead to new conflicts and called on both sides to exercise restraint.
