Hamas has strongly condemned the resumption of military operations by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his government against the Gaza Strip, calling it a "genocidal war." The movement's statement said Netanyahu's government had violated the ceasefire agreement and was increasing pressure on civilians in the Gaza Strip.

"Netanyahu and his Nazi government have resumed their war of aggression and genocide against the defenseless civilians of the Gaza Strip," the statement said.

Hamas also called on the mediators to hold the Israeli government fully accountable for its actions in violating the agreement. The movement also called on international organizations, in particular the Arab League and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, to take action to end the blockade on the Gaza Strip.

"We call on the League of Arab States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to fulfill their historic responsibility, support the steadfast and courageous resistance of the Palestinian people, and lift the unjust siege imposed on the Gaza Strip," said a Hamas spokesman.

In addition, Hamas called for an emergency meeting of the United Nations and the UN Security Council to adopt a resolution forcing Israel to cease hostilities.

"We call on the United Nations and the UN Security Council to convene immediately and adopt a resolution compelling an end to the aggression and to ensure that resolution 2735 is complied with, that is, to stop the aggression and to achieve the withdrawal of the occupying forces from the entire territory of the Gaza Strip," the statement said.
