Hamas has expressed its readiness to cease fire, but only if the war in the Gaza Strip ends completely.
According to The Guardian, US President Donald Trump announced on July 1 that Israel had agreed to a 60-day ceasefire proposal. He called on Hamas to agree to the same terms.
After that, resistance spokesman Tahir al-Nunu said that "HAMAS is ready to reach an agreement." A delegation from the Palestinian movement is expected to meet with Egyptian and Qatari mediators in Cairo on June 2 to discuss the proposal.
