Grant funds allocated to Harvard University frozen
The US Department of Education's Special Joint Task Force on Combating Anti-Semitism has officially announced the freezing of $2.2 billion in grant funds allocated to Harvard University.
It is said that this decision was made due to increased demands for the protection of Jewish students in higher education institutions.
The White House had previously warned that state financial aid to universities in the United States could be reduced.
The main reason for this is the issue of ensuring the safety of Jewish students amid growing anti-Israel protests on campuses, RIA Novosti reported.
A number of influential media outlets also reported that the White House was calling on Harvard University to abandon its "diversity, equity, and inclusion" (DEI) program.
