Another Uzbek community in Russia is being liquidated
The Kurgan-Uzbekistan Friendship Society, which operates in the Kurgan region of Russia and has been protecting the interests of Uzbek immigrants , may be closed, the URA publication reported.
According to the source, criminal cases have been opened in Uzbekistan against the founder and leader of the organization, Otabek Makulov. He is suspected of kidnapping and extortion. Therefore, the Uzbek side is demanding his deportation.
The organization has currently ceased its activities. Experts believe that it may be liquidated, like the "Tashkent" and "Zamondosh" diasporas.
