Afghanistan becomes a full member of the Moscow format for the first time
In Kabul, Russian Ambassador Dmitry Zhirnov met with Amir Khan Muttaqi, Foreign Minister of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, Afghan media reported.
It is noted that Zhirnov announced that the Afghan delegation will participate in the 7th session of the Moscow format on Afghanistan, which will be held in October. This will be the first time that Afghanistan will participate in this format as a full member, which will strengthen the country's diplomatic position, the report said.
For your information, the Moscow format, established in 2017, brings together Russia, China, Pakistan, Iran, India, and Central Asian countries to discuss security, counterterrorism, and political issues in Afghanistan.
