44 Halal certificates issued in Russia in 2024
In Russia, 44 certificates were issued for various products and services that meet the requirements of "Halal" during 2024. Two certificates were also issued for booking and travel agency services. This was reported by the press service of the Federal Accreditation Agency.
The Halal certificate guarantees products and services in accordance with Islamic standards. In 2024, two product certification bodies and one service certification body were accredited in the national accreditation system in Russia.
In addition, the list of technical experts includes 17 specialists, 9 of whom are Halal certified and 8 are experts in Islamic matters.
In March 2024, the national standard for Halal certification bodies was approved, which is an important milestone in the implementation of the Halal accreditation scheme. The next stage is planned to be the accreditation of Halal service certification bodies in September 2025.
The main goal of these projects is to develop Russian exports, ensure the recognition of "Halal" products abroad, and increase their reliability.
